Wooden Bow Tie - C.C. Maximus D. Phil Moving Wood Gear

C.C. Maximus D.Phil. is part of our wonderful kinetic wooden gear tie collection. Though basically a 'big butterfly' shape, this is our latest and greatest gear tie. A wonderful diesel punk design with seven connected gears.

Cherry is our favorite wood. Wood bow ties made from cherry have good contrast, so we use cherry for bow ties with intricately engraved designs. The great contrast and naturally large grain of cherry means that these bow ties are highly recognizable.

This collection uses the Thistle or Big Butterfly shape style – this shape style is one of the largest and is mostly seen on bow ties used for lavish, fancy-dress occasions. These bow ties use smart design, bold vintage patterns, and larger-than-normal size in order to invoke the style of the fashionable surgeon or CEO.
